Tucker Carlson: Our leaders benefit from the pain and chaos of illegal immigration

NEWYou are now ready to listen to Fox News articles!

At the beginning of this week we traveled along the southern border to the southern tip of Hungary. At this point, hundreds of thousands of migrants from North Africa and the Middle East appeared in Hungary six years ago in the hope of reaching the well-known generous welfare states of Western Europe. When we got to the same border, everything was calm and peaceful.

There was no suffering mass of humanity, no crying children, no graffiti or trash or violence.

In fact, only a simple chain link fence separated the two countries and no one was in sight. Just birds and trees. How did it happen?

It happened because Hungary is a serious, modern country that cares about its own citizens. Hungary has no desire to destroy itself, no desire to promote crime and misery and unemployment in its cities – or even not to contribute to human trafficking in people who are fleeing Syria.

When illegal foreigners arrive at the Hungarian border, they are photographed and then politely escorted across the border. The whole process takes about half an hour. It’s the most civilized thing we’ve seen in years. As we looked at it, we thought, why can’t we have this in America?

TUCKER CARLSON: IF YOU NEED PROOF THE MEDIA LIES, LOOK AT HOW THEY TREAT HUNGARY

The answer, as you know, is because our leaders don’t want it. You benefit from the chaos and pain of illegal immigration. When the rule of law breaks down, they become more powerful. That is why we have open borders.

You don’t often see waves of people migrating in midsummer. Historically, June and July have been easy months for border crossings from Mexico. It is too hot. This year is different. The poor of the world understand that America no longer has borders. Joe Biden invited millions and promised them free health care, education and housing upon arrival. So you come. Why shouldn’t they? You would too. Migrants arrive in unprecedented numbers from around the world, many thousands from Brazil alone, but they also come from Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, the Middle East and all over Latin America.

Our country has literally never seen anything like it. The question is, what’s in it for the Americans? How does it improve your life or the life of an American citizen? And by the way, after the White House tells the rest of the world that it isn’t necessary, why should you obey our laws? Nobody in authority has explained any of this. At the same time, the disadvantages of all of this become obvious to everyone, try to suppress it.

A few days ago, in broad daylight, an illegal alien from Cuba beheaded a woman who was sitting in traffic in Minnesota. Bystanders found her head in an intersection next to her car. It was a terrible crime, but the worst part was that it didn’t have to happen. The authorities had known for years that the killer lived illegally in that country. But they refused to deport him because he had rights. Even now, most of the media will not report that he was an illegal alien. To tell you that this could discredit Joe Biden’s immigration policy.

Again, this is not natural; it is an artificial catastrophe. It’s not a tornado, it’s not an act of God. The Biden administration did this on purpose. You still do. That is why the Democrats get hysterical when you mention the obvious successes here in Hungary on immigration. They don’t want you to know that the chaos, dirt, and crime around us is an option. We don’t have to live like this anymore. We can actually have a functioning country. We just have to obey our own laws. The ones already in the books.

But that doesn’t happen. Instead, the government is using American courts to encourage more illegal immigration from other countries. In his immigration plan, Joe Biden proposes another million US dollars to attorneys to defend foreigners caught entering our country. So, as an American citizen, you can be fired from your job at short notice for not taking the unapproved COVID vaccine, but if you sneak into our country, break our laws and are COVID positive, come from Haiti or Brazil or Ghana or Honduras, you get a free lawyer, you get free housing, and then you get free health care. After a while, one begins to wonder: What is the point of American citizenship? What’s the point of paying your taxes.

HUNGARY’S VIKTOR ORBAN TELLS TUCKER CARLSON: “WEST LIBERALS CANNOT ACCEPT” RIGHT DISSENTS

Other smaller countries – far less privileged places – have found this out. In Budapest there are no tent cities of drug addicts who live in the parks. There is no rubbish or human waste on the sidewalks. People are not beheaded at intersections. BLM is not allowed to burn down entire districts in Budapest. This is how Americans lived before our leaders decided they no longer care about you. The Hungarian government protects its border because it wants to protect its citizens. That is the fundamental role of government. It’s not a radical concept. It used to be commonplace around the world, especially in the United States, and now it is no longer. Here is the Prime Minister of Hungary explaining it.

VIKTOR ORBAN: This is our country. This is our population. This is our story, this is our language. We have to do that. If you are in trouble and no one is closer to you than the Hungarians, then of course you have to be helpful. But you can’t just say, ‘Okay, it’s a beautiful country. I want to come here and live because it’s a better life. ‘ This is not a human right to come here. No way, because it is our country. It’s a nation, it’s a community, family, history, tradition, language.

Oh, it triggers them like that. Family, history, tradition, language. They hate it when you say that. But why? These are all good things. In fact, they are the things that unite a country. Especially a huge continental country that is multiethnic. You need these things. It’s not difficult to have a decent country. It’s not that complicated. You only need executives who want you.
