The SEC has appointed Gurbir S. Grewal as its new director of enforcement. Mr. Grewal will succeed Acting Director Melissa Hodgman on July 26, 2021.
Mr. Grewal currently serves as the New Jersey State Attorney General, having served in this role since January 2018. His past positions include the Bergen County, New Jersey District Attorney and the US District Attorney’s chief of white-collar crime for the New Jersey District.
