The Secretary-General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Jens Stoltenberg said on Friday that Pakistan has a special responsibility to Afghanistan as Islamabad has close ties with the Taliban, Pajhwok Afghan News reported.
NATO also called for any future Afghan government to honor Afghanistan’s international commitments; protect the human rights of all Afghans, especially women, children and minorities; Upholding the rule of law; enable unhindered humanitarian access.

“Pakistan has close ties to the Taliban and now has a special responsibility towards Afghanistan,” said Jens Stoltenberg during a NATO press conference.
Stoltenberg’s remarks came after the Taliban invaded Kabul on Sunday and took control of the presidential palace. Panic has gripped the Afghan capital as people fear a return to the brutal rule of the Taliban and the threat of retaliatory killings.
