ALBANY, NEW YORK – Bryan Krynicki, 58, of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, pleaded guilty today to attempting to coerce and seduce minors into sexual acts with him. The announcement was made by US Attorney Carla B. Freedman and Janeen DiGuiseppi, Special Agent of the Albany Field Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
As part of his guilty admission, Krynicki admitted that between February and April 2020 he exchanged over 1,000 sexually explicit messages online with an undercover officer posing as a 14-year-old child in order to induce the child to engage in sexual acts with him. Krynicki also admitted that he had traveled from Massachusetts to an agreed meeting point in Rensselaer County, New York, on April 29, 2020 to engage in sexual activity with the 14-year-old child that day.
In his plea agreement, Krynicki agreed to be sentenced to 120 months in prison. U.S. District Judge Mae A. D’Agostino will convict him on March 2, 2022.
