Kushner’s transition into the financial world means he won’t get involved in politics for the foreseeable future, the source confirms. Reuters was the first to report on Kushner’s plans. No information is yet available on whose fund Kushner will invest in and where these investments will be made.

Prior to joining the White House, Kushner had no political experience. He was CEO of his family’s real estate development company, Kushner Properties.

During Trump’s tenure in the White House, Kushner’s fingerprints were on many, if not all, government agenda items – from the border wall and immigration to relations with China, criminal justice, trade deals between Mexico and Canada and the United States, the Middle East and, ultimately, the White House’s coronavirus response.

He also ran the White House Office of American Innovation, which should have modernized government technology.

Kushner married Ivanka Trump in 2009. He has lived in Miami since leaving Washington in January. CNN has covered Trump and Kushner’s strained relationship, which began after Trump lost the election, according to multiple sources.

Trump’s son-in-law was working on a book about his time in the White House, due for publication in 2022. The person familiar with his plan tells CNN that Kushner landed a “seven figure deal” for the book.
