Corbin man sentenced to 25 years for production of child pornography   | Local News

LONDON – A Corbin man, Andrew J. Kerr, 32, was sentenced Tuesday to 25 years federal prison by U.S. District Judge Claria Horn Boom for child pornography production.

From August 2020 to November 2020, Kerr recorded several videos engaging in sexual acts with an underage victim. Kerr also posted the victim’s explicit images on Snapchat, a social media platform. Eventually, Kerr saved and saved pictures and videos of the underage victim on his cell phone.

Kerr pleaded guilty in June 2021.

In 2008, Kerr was convicted of first-degree criminal abuse of a 12-year-old child by the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

Under federal law, Kerr must serve 85 percent of his sentence; and upon release from prison, he will be under the supervision of the US Parole Office for life.

Carlton S. Shier, IV, Acting US Attorney for the Eastern District of Kentucky; Jerry Templet Jr., special envoy, Department of Homeland Security – Homeland Security Investigations; and Col. Phillip Burnett, Jr., Kentucky State Police commissioner, announced the verdict.

The investigation was conducted by the Department of Homeland Security-HSI and the Kentucky State Police Department of Electronic Crime. The United States was represented by Assistant Attorney General Jenna E. Reed.
