WASHINGTON, Aug. 26 (Reuters) – U.S. Trade Representative Katherine Tai told Turkey’s trade minister it was vital that countries clear individual taxes in the context of a broader multilateral agreement reached in talks led by the OECD Abolish digital services, her office said.
Tai discussed taxes for digital services, improving access for US companies in Turkey and other issues with her Turkish counterpart Mehmet Mus during a virtual meeting, her office said in a statement.
“Ambassador Tai stated that the United States is critical of the elimination of individual DSTs in connection with the processes of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the G20,” it said.
