Tucker Carlson: Rochelle Walensky now makes the laws, and she’s taking your private property

NEWYou are now ready to listen to Fox News articles!

On New Year’s Day that year, Rochelle Walensky was a college professor in Massachusetts. You almost certainly had never heard of her. You definitely never voted for her because Walensky has never run for office. On January 1st, Walensky’s political power was exactly the same as yours and everyone else in this supposedly self-governing republic: it had a vote from a nation of 320 million people. And then, just a few weeks later, everything changed, for them and for all of us. Joe Biden named Walensky director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta. It didn’t seem like a big deal back then. The CDC is not a legislative body. It’s a health department. It was originally designed to fight malaria and it did a good job.

The CDC gathers information about diseases and then provides guidance on those diseases to the country. The CDC does not legislate in this country. It is not allowed. Under the US Constitution, law making is the exclusive responsibility of Congress. You choose your senators and congressmen, and they make the rules. This is called representative democracy. It has been our system for almost 250 years. But apparently it’s over now. Rochelle Walensky now makes the laws. Walensky announced today that it has decided to nationalize America’s rental properties, millions and millions of them from Maine to California. Tenants no longer have to pay their rent.

CORI BUSH, DEMOCRAT, REQUESTS EVOCATION, HAS BEEN ACTION FOR NOT PAYING THE RENT

Property owners cannot evacuate them under any circumstances. Making someone pay for living on your property is now a federal crime. Try and you can end up in jail fined hundreds of thousands of dollars. At the same time, you should know that property owners will still have to pay the banks that hold their mortgages. There is no moratorium on mortgages. Why? The banks are huge donors to the Democrats, and they are getting the treatment they paid for. Sandy Cortez and The Squad are not asking banks to do their part. It is the landowners who will suffer, many of them members of the rapidly disappearing American middle class.

It is difficult to overestimate what a momentous change this is. It means, among other things, that there is no longer any private property in the United States. You thought your house was yours. No longer. Rochelle Walensky does it. It will decide who is allowed to live there, under what circumstances and for how long.

WATES CALLS ON CDC TO DISCONNECT JUDGMENTS OF THE SUPERIOR COURT and extend the eviction ban

Is this a good idea? Of course not. It’s totalitarian. But there is an even more pressing question at the center of this story – a principle that defines what kind of country this is and what kind of country it will be in the future: where does Rochelle Walensky have the power to do this, suspend private property? Rights in america? The answer is, she just held power. Walensky claimed she had the authority and no one prevented her from exercising it. This morning she signed an official-looking decree stating that her opinion is now the law, and so is the law. But wait, you say. That doesn’t look very American. Shouldn’t someone vote there? If we continue to pretend this is a democracy, and you hear that all the time on television, shouldn’t our elected lawmakers make the law? Lower Austria. And they won’t. Nancy Pelosi refused to vote on it and she heads Congress, she decides. Most Republicans didn’t say a word. This means that an unelected college professor whom you hadn’t heard from six months ago is now in charge of your country.

If you’re wondering how all of this can be legal, rest assured it isn’t – it’s not even legal. We know for sure that this is not the case. The Supreme Court has just ruled on this issue. The court found that the CDC does not have the right to impose a nationwide eviction moratorium. Period. Only Congress can do that. Well, the court did not let us guess your opinion on this, the court put that in writing in the clearest language. There is no debate about that. The Biden administration simply ignored what the court said.

How can you do that?

Los Angeles Congressman Maxine Waters understands exactly how they did it. Waters is not a genius. She’s probably never read a whole book. But one thing Maxine Waters knows well is how third world regimes work. If you want something, just take it. You have the guns. Who will stop you? Power does right. The Fidel-Castro method. Waters said that out loud today when she urged Rochelle Walensky to suspend private property in America.

“I’m not shopping that the CDC cannot extend the eviction moratorium,” Waters wrote on Twitter, knowing that the Supreme Court had already banned it. “Who will stop you? Who will punish you?”

PELOSI SAY HOUSE DEMOCRATS “READY” TO WORK WITH BIDEN ADMIN TO EXTEND THE BAN EVACTION

Well, good question, nobody. And Nancy Pelosi knows that too. Pelosi knows that what Rochelle Walensky just did is, by definition, illegal. She also knows that openly ignoring a Supreme Court ruling will end our current system. That’s fine with Nancy Pelosi.

“The CDC has the power to extend the eviction moratorium,” said Pelosi. She did not explain where this power came from. She simply declared that she existed like dictators do.

Remember, even Joe Biden, who knows very little, knows that what his government has just done is against the law. He said it on camera yesterday:

JOE BIDEN: I went to see constitutional scholars. To determine what is the best option, it would be through action by the executive branch or the CDC ruling. What could they do to be the most likely to pass the examination? Constitutionally. Most of the constitutional research says it is unlikely to pass constitutional drafting. Number one. But there are some important scholars who think it is possible and worth the effort.

The eviction moratorium has been in place for months and was only extended today. So people have debated it, lawyers have commented on it, and we know it won’t pass “constitutional scrutiny,” says Biden. In other words, it’s illegal. The people who do this are criminals. This is the word we use for people who knowingly break the law. But like most criminals, they aren’t embarrassed about breaking the law, that’s what they do.

GINGRICH ON PROGRESSIVES PROTESTING AGAINST THE ENDED EVACATION BAN: WHO WILL PAY FOR THE SOCIALIST FANTASY OF AOC?

Here’s Joe Biden’s “Senior Advisor” – a thoroughly oily character named Gene Sperling – telling you the rule of law just doesn’t matter here.

GENE SPERLING: To date, the CDC director and her team have been unable to find legal authority, even for a more targeted eviction moratorium that would only focus on counties with higher COVID spread rates. … This is a president who really understands the heartache of an eviction. The reason he pushes and pushes, even if the legal authority looks thin, is to make sure that we have explored every potential authority.

These people are so dirty, but they are self-righteous. Did you catch that We do not have the legal authority to do what we do. But we do it anyway. Because who is going to stop us?

Republican? Mitch McConnell? Please. Mark Milley does not report to Mitch McConnell. Mitch McConnell doesn’t control the FBI or the secret services. Mitch McConnell is unarmed. What is he going to do about it? Give a grumpy speech and drive back to his apartment?

That’s what they say. This is what criminals always say when they shake you at gunpoint. And make no mistake, that’s what they do. That’s exactly what they are.
