Former FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe beat up former President Donald Trump on Thursday for “endangering law enforcement” for demanding “justice” against the Capitol policeman who killed insurgent Ashli Babbitt on Jan. 6 .
During an appearance on CNN’s The Situation Room, McCabe told host Jim Acosta that Trump’s comments on the Capitol Police were “incredibly dangerous”.
“We know for sure. It’s not something we theorize about,” he said. “We have seen before the impact the president’s words have on his most die-hard and emotional supporters.”
He added: “We saw an attempted bomb attack by a local extremist arrested several years ago who said he was following President Trump’s orders. We all saw the insurgents do what many of them said on January 6th, they thought, “they followed his orders.”
In a statement Wednesday, Trump praised Babbitt, who was killed by a police officer when she tried to climb through a broken window to get into the speaker lobby during the Capitol riot.
“I spoke to the wonderful mother and husband of Ashli Babbitt, who was murdered by someone who should never have pulled the trigger,” Trump said. “We know who he is. If this happened on the ‘other side’ there would be riots all over America and yet there are far more people represented by Ashli, who really loved America, than there are the other side. “
He added: “The haters of the radical left must not get away with it. There must be justice! “

During the interview, McCabe stated that the former president’s comments resembled the language of an organized crime person rather than a former commander in chief.
“Let’s be honest,” said McCabe. “If he says, ‘We know who you are,’ that is a threat.
He insisted, “You have threatened the former President of the United States, law enforcement officers. It’s just plain outrageous.”
Last month Trump described Babbitt as “an innocent, wonderful, incredible woman” during a call on Fox News.
The former president alleged that the officer who shot Babbitt was “the chief security officer of a certain senior official, a Democrat,” which is untrue, according to a senior police officer with knowledge of the matter.
Much like Trump, Arizona GOP MP Paul Gosar has repeatedly pressured government officials over Babbitt’s death and criticized the circumstances surrounding her death during a congressional hearing in June.
Following the June hearing, Wyoming GOP MP Liz Cheney, who was removed from the House Republican leadership team in May for her vocal criticism of Trump’s false election claims, reprimanded Gosar for saying Babbitt was “executed” by the Capitol Police been.
