SHREVEPORT, La. – Scott James Willmes, 50, of Shreveport, formerly of Lake Linden, passed away on September 4, 2021.
Scott was born on July 19, 1971 in White Pine.
In 1989 he graduated from Lake Linden Hubbell High School.
Scott served eight years in the United States Air Force as an engine mechanic at KI Sawyer and Barksdale Air Force Base.
He has been an independent entrepreneur since 1995 as the owner of First Choice Lawn Care and has been involved in many other ventures. Scott was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Elks Lodge No. 122.
In his spare time, Scott loved camping, boating, and watching football. He always cheered on the Green Bay Packers – Go Pack go! He was always on the go, running his business, immersing himself in construction projects, and hanging out with his family and friends.
Scott precedes his father James Alfred Willmes in death; and his father-in-law, David E. Tordone.
He is survived by his fiancée Lauren Tordone and their daughter Emma Grace, 9; Mother, Joan Alene Willmes; Sister Beth MacKenzie and husband Bryan and their children Ava, 15 and Connor, 11; Mother-in-law Linda Tordone; Sister-in-law Kristen Robinson and husband Mat and their daughters Molly, 4, and Kayleigh, 9 months; Brother-in-law David Tordone and wife Marielle; and lots of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Scott was a devoted father and fiance, loving son, caring brother, and best friend to so many. The memory of him will stay in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be very missed!
Services will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 522 E. Flournoy Lucas Rd., Shreveport, Louisiana. He is buried in a private ceremony at Rose-Neath Cemetery, 5185 Swan Lake Road. in Bossier City, Louisiana.
