Kevin Durant is known for his skills on the basketball court, but the Brooklyn Nets star is also a smart businessman.
Durant‘s newest venture is the world of legalized cannabis sales, which is growing rapidly in the United States.
The NBA star joins a number of celebrities including David Beckham, Mike Tyson, Miley Cyrus and Jay-Z to get into the cannabis market and wanted to do so for some time.
He has joined the company Weed cardswho sells cannabis in the US and posted a video about recreational drug use in the world of sports and how the stigma associated with it has recently decreased.

“The patch was ripped off in the sports world” Durant called.
“It’s kind of an undercover thing for players to consume cannabis while they are actively playing.”
He hopes people will start to become more open to the use of cannabis in sports.
“I’ve always found it interesting that the rest of the world is a little slower to talk about cannabis and its use,” he added.

“Athletes are still tested for cannabis four times a year and it just felt like the world was starting to get people’s opinion about cannabis use and now it’s an open dialogue and it was amazing it to listen.”
