LANSING, MI – Michigan lawmakers this week discussed possible solutions to prevent future tragedies like what happened Tuesday at Oxford High School in Oakland County, where four students were shot dead and several others, including a teacher, injured.
Senate Majority Leader Mike Shirkey, R-Clarklake, told reporters at the State Capitol on Wednesday that stricter gun laws would turn the United States “into a country we will not recognize.”
