Lake of the Ozarks, MO (June 15, 2021) – An explosion reported on Tuesday afternoon brought five people with injuries to local hospitals. At around 1:40 p.m. on June 15, the crews were notified that an explosion had occurred on the Osage Arm of the Lake of the Ozarks.

Authority reports show that a 26-foot Searay boat from 2007 exploded after a mechanical problem while it was in the Osage Arms area of ​​the Lake of the Ozarks at mile marker 10.4. A total of five people who were on the boat at the time of the explosion were seriously injured. All five victims were transported by ambulance to University Hospital in Columbia and Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach for care. The incident is currently under investigation.
