Carthage, MS (December 7, 2021) – There were injuries after a driver was hit in a hit-and-run accident in the Carthage area on Monday morning, December 6th. The incident occurred at around 10:38 a.m. at the intersection of MS-43 and Damascus Church Road

According to local reports, a vehicle was struck by another passenger car and driven off the lane. The indebted driver fled the scene. Rescue workers were sent to the scene to help those involved. The area was locked for several hours while paramedics were present. One person was taken to a local hospital for treatment for an injury he had suffered.
